Does Cyndi's smile signify a hope for lasting world peace?

O SON OF SPIRIT! My first counsel is this: Possess a pure, kindly and radiant heart, that thine may be a sovereignty ancient, imperishable and everlasting. (Baha'u'llah, The Arabic Hidden Words)

Cyndi's theme of life is summed up in the word "FROG".    It is an acronym for "Fully Relying On God". a_frog.gif

Cyndi considers herself a 'Born Again Christian'. You will feel no condemnation nor receive words of judgement from her. Only goodness and well-being emanates from her soul. She is, indeed, a pure recepticle from which the love of God may flow through to others. Lovingly accepting and serving people of all faiths and from all walks of life, perhaps, Cyndi embodies a hope for our future. Is she an ambassador, a true representative of "Peace on Earth, good will towards men"? Will mankind rise above the terrible tribulations of the present and usher in a dawning of world peace? Cyndi embraces a divine consciousness dedicated to that end.

Cyndi loves the ocean and the beach. She has fond memories visiting the ocean to find solitude and peace in the sights, sounds and rhythms of the seashore.

Meditate to the sound of waves breaking on the beach. Play the video below, then peruse writings Of the holy masters extolling the virtues of God.

reliance and love of one God, the Eternal, the All-knowing.
Surely it is time for needless enmity between religions to cease.

Cyndi is a rare treasure.  As attested by the warmth of her smile in the picture, Cyndi is a gem radiating from the human spirit, aglow with kindness and caring, vibrant with love giving freely of herself to others.

To be a real Christian is to be a servant in His Cause and Kingdom, to go forth under His banner of peace and love toward all mankind, to be self-sacrificing and obedient, to become quickened by the breaths of the Holy Spirit, to be mirrors reflecting the radiance of the divinity of Christ, to be fruitful trees in the garden of His planting, to refresh the world by the water of life of His teachings -- in all things to be like Him and filled with the spiritof His love. Praise be to God! The light of unity and love is shining in these faces. These spiritual susceptibilities are the real fruits of heaven. (Abdu'l-Baha, The Promulgation of Universal Peace, p. 6) Baha'i

"Myriads of mystic tonques find utterance in one speech and myriads of hidden mysteries are revealed in a single melody." Baha'u'llah

The video below extolls the truth of Trinity and validity of the Word as proclaimed in all major world faiths.  Play this and you will hear the blending of bird song with the music of the video that's played above. Indeed; cooperation,  blending in diversity, and working together in harmony brings together complimentary components of a single truth.

The first peace, which is the most important, is that which comes within the souls of people when they realize their relationship, their oneness, with the universe and all its powers, and when they realize that at the center of the universe dwells Wakan-Taka (the Great Spirit), and that this center is really everywhere, it is within each of us.

This is the real peace, and the others are but reflections of this. The second peace is that which is made between two individuals, and the third is that which is made between two nations. But above all you should understand that there can never be peace between nations until there is known that true peace, which, as I have often said, is within the souls of men.

Black Elk - Oglala Sioux

Today there is no greater glory for man than that of service in the cause of the "Most Great Peace." Peace is light whereas war is darkness. Peace is life; war is death. Peace is guidance; war is error. Peace is the foundation of God; war is satanic institution. Peace is the illumination of the world of humanity; war is the destroyer of human foundations. (Abdu'l-Baha, Baha'i World Faith - Abdu'l-Baha Section, p. 231)

O my God! O my God! verily these servants are turning to Thee, supplicating Thy kingdom of mercy. Verily they are attracted by Thy holiness and set aglow with the fire of Thy love, seeking confirmation from Thy wondrous kingdom and hoping for attainment in Thy heavenly realm. Verily they long for the descent of Thy bestowal, desiring illumination from the Sun of Reality. O Lord! make them radiant lamps, merciful signs, fruitful trees and shining stars. May they come forth in Thy service and be connected with Thee by the bonds and ties of thy love, longing for the lights of Thy favor. O Lord! make them signs of guidance, standards of Thy immortal kingdom, waves of the sea of Thy mercy, mirrors of the light of Thy majesty. Verily Thou art the generous! Verily Thou art the merciful! Verily Thou art the precious, the beloved! (Abdu'l-Baha, Baha'i World Faith - Abdu'l-Baha Section, p. 230)

Master, which is the great commandment in the law? Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind. This is the first and great commandment.  And the second is like unto it, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself. On these two commandments hang all the laws and the prophets. ((Matthew: 22:36-40 KJB.) Christian

In the name of God. I praise and invoke the creator Ormazd, the radiant, glorious, omniscient, maker, lord of lords, king over all kings, watchful, creator of the universe, giver of daily bread, powerful, strong, eternal, forgiver, merciful, loving, mighty, wise, holy, and nourisher. May (his) just kingdom be imperishable. May the majesty and glory of Ormazd, the beneficent lord, increase. (Hither) may come the immortal, radiant, swift-horsed Sun. Of all sins ... I repent.  (The Zend-Avesta, Khorda Avesta - Book of Common Prayer pt. 1) Zoroastrianism

O SON OF SPIRIT! There is no peace for thee save by renouncing thyself and turning unto Me; for it behooveth thee to glory in My name, not in thine own; to put thy trust in Me and not in thyself, since I desire to be loved alone and above all that is. (Baha'u'llah, The Arabic Hidden Words)

Although I am unborn and My transcendental body never deteriorates, and although I am the Lord of all sentient beings, I still appear in every millennium in My original transcendental form. Whenever and wherever there is a decline in religious practice, O descendant of Bharata, and a predominant rise of irreligion--at that time I descend Myself. In order to deliver the pious and to annihilate the miscreants, as well as to reestablish the principles of religion, I advent Myself millennium after millennium. Bhagavad-Gita Chap 4:6-8 Hindu:

In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. The same was in the beginning with God. All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made. In him was life; and the life was the light of men.  And the light shineth in darkness; and the darkness comprehended it not. (King James Bible, John 1:1) Christian

We desire but the good of the world and the happiness of the nations -- that all nations should become one in faith and all men as brothers; that all bonds of affection and unity between the sons of men should be strengthened; that diversity of religion should cease and differences of race be annulled -- and so it shall be; these fruitless strifes, these ruinous wars shall pass away and the most great peace shall come. Is not this that which Christ foretold? Let not a man glory in this, that he loves his country; let him rather glory in this, that he loves his kind. (Abdu'l-Baha, Divine Philosophy, p. 10) Baha'i

And the Jews say: Ezra is the son of Allah, [God] and the Christians say: The Messiah is the son of Allah. [God] That is their saying with their mouths. They imitate the saying of those who disbelieved of old. Allah (Himself) fighteth against them. How perverse are they!  They have taken as lords beside Allah their rabbis and their monks and the Messiah son of Mary, when they were bidden to worship only One God. There is no God save Him. Be He Glorified from all that they ascribe as partner (unto Him)! Fain would they put out the light of Allah with their mouths, but Allah disdaineth (aught) save that He shall perfect His light, however much the disbelievers are averse. He it is Who hath sent His messenger with the guidance and the Religion of Truth, that He may cause it to prevail over all religion, however much the idolaters may be averse. Quran: Sura 9:30 "Repentence Islam

If love and agreement are manifest in a single family, that family will advance, become illumined and spiritual; but if enmity and hatred exist within it destruction and dispersion are inevitable. This is likewise true of a city. If those who dwell within it manifest a spirit of accord and fellowship it will progress steadily and human conditions become brighter whereas through enmity and strife it will be degraded and its inhabitants scattered. In the same way the people of a nation develop and advance toward civilization and enlightenment through love and accord, and are disintegrated by war and strife. Finally, this is true of humanity itself in the aggregate. When love is realized and the ideal spiritual bonds unite the hearts of men, the whole human race will be uplifted, the world will continually grow more spiritual and radiant and the happiness and tranquility of mankind be immeasurably increased. Warfare and strife will be uprooted, disagreement and dissension pass away and Universal Peace unite the nations and peoples of the world. All mankind will dwell together as one family, blend as the waves of one sea, shine as stars of one firmament and appear as fruits of the same tree. May they become the servants of the Most High God, near and dear to Him in the oneness of the heavenly Kingdom.(Abdu'l-Baha, Baha'i World Faith - Abdu'l-Baha Section, p. 228)

The above passages along with additional treatises and writings found below, when perused and compared with open mind and heart, Join forces proclaiming in unison; The Eternal Word, the Light of Truth has given us guidance and shown us the path to a uniting peace. A sweet melody of nurturing wisdom and love has been sung through the ages. When voiced together one can discern the counterpoint of a fugue within the mystic realms of a timeless symphony. We but need to heed the timeless call.

Yet, the authorities lay down the seeds of corruption. In succeeding generations followers are taught not to question but simply obey what is given out by the Synagogues, Churches and Mosques as absolute literal truth. In this way have the true Messages borne by the Messengers of the past become tainted and lost; polluted beyond recognition through the waywardness of the leaders- the people bereft of discernment, driven away from the essential guidance, lost in divisive fear and superstition. Thus many people of faith have come to worship the commandments of men. They blindly worship as they have been taught. My own comment

Question: Are not churches doing a real disservice to their congregations by fostering beliefs based, often not on what Jesus meant and usually made clear in his complete dissertations, but rather, on what the churches themselves have edited and placed in a different context within their own contrived methodologies and traditions? Perhaps we should leave the rites and rituals of a traditionalized worship service and focus on study, praise and worship of God. Let us honor the Word of God by perusing and comparing the complete texts, and with open mind and heart, be accepting of the possibility of greater perspective, wider insight and deeper appreciation, wisdom and love. Let us stop picking “favorite fragments” as a basis of faith.

Churches avidly endorse Jesus as the only begotten Son of God.
Mosques extoll Muhammed as a divine Messenger of the final Truth (Word) of Allah (God).

Yet Islam and Christianity both proclaim the greatness of God; That there is only the one true God and that it is beneficial to come to the divine Presence in true worship.

Thus, which one of these beautiful chanted prayers represents divine reality or may or may not be endorsed by the God of all being, The Counselor of all peoples, wherein the light of unity may illumine the whole Earth?

Truly, is not the same truth declared by both? Where is the great division and cause for animosity? A Christian friend of mine once stated,"The Muslim prayer is very different from the Christian one because the style of the writing is different,". I ask "Is it not better that we look at the central message and not dwell on and emphasize the seeming difference resulting from peripheral social contexts of time and place"?

An Arabic Prayer for Divine Mercy:

kalamation — March 26, 2008 — An Arabic prayer for God's Mercy. In the tradition of the Church of Antioch founded by Sts. Paul and Barnabas, whose first bishop was the Apostle Peter. Where the faithful were first called Christians. From the Troparia of Penitence, Ceremony of Forgiveness, Byzantine Worship.

Have mercy on us oh Lord, for lacking as we are in all defense.
We  sinners 0ffer You this supplication
As you are Lord, have mercy upon us.
Glory to the Father and the Holy Spirit, the Son, the Father.
Have mercy upon us oh Lord, for we have placed all our trust in You.

Do not be greatly angered with us.
Remember our iniquities, but look upon us now with Your compassion and save us from our enemies.
For you are our God and we your people.
We are all the works of Your hands and upon Your Name do we call.
Now and ever and unto ages of ages: Amen.

Call to Prayer:

OnlyTurth — April 05, 2008 — Muslims use the human voice to announce the times of prayer to the community. The adhan is the call to prayer itself, and the person who calls it is called the muadhan.
The following is an English followed by the Arabic translation
God is Great (said four times)
I bear witness that there is no god except the One God . (said two times
I bear witness that Muhammad is the messenger of God. (said two times)
Hurry to the prayer (Rise up for prayer) (said two times)
Hurry to success (Rise up for Salvation) (said two times)
God is Great (said two times)
There is no god except the One God
In Arabic below:
Allahu Akbar (said four times)
Ashhadu an la ilaha illa Allah. (said two times)
Ashadu anna Muhammadan Rasool Allah(said two times)
Hayya 'ala-s-Salah
Hayya 'ala-l-Falah
Allahu Akbar

Prophets:

Always it is easier to pay homage to prophets than to heed the direction of their vision.

It is easier blindly to venerate the saints than to learn the human quality of their sainthood.

It is easier to glorify the heroes of the race than to give weight to their examples.

To worship the wise is much easier than to profit by their wisdom.

Great leaders are honored, not by adulation, but by sharing their insights and values.

Grandchildren of those who stoned the prophet sometimes gather up the stones to build the prophet's monument.

Always it is easier to pay homage to prophets than to heed the direction of their message.

Of Church Issues of Emphasis, Doctrine, Habitual Ritual and Self Ordained Authority.

"Seek and yea shall find". Knock, and the door shall be opened". Can and should this well known passage of Matthew be applied to questioning the church itself? Is it time to take a critical look at just how church doctrine and historical activities upon the world-wide arena compare with the Biblical based teachings and guidance of Jesus? Let us peer through the dense veil sheltering fear, age-old habitual traditions, conditioned comforts, parochial based thinking; and seek, within our own inner hearts, the liberating light of truth revealed by the enlightened teachings of the Nazarene. Perhaps it is time to discover world perspectives bringing new objectives. Perhaps humanity can yet heed the call of his calling; Establishing,"Peace on Earth, good will towards men." see http://church.onenessbecomesus.com

In the Bible Jesus talks of his true reality, that we are not to worship him but rather God who sent him.  “Then Jesus cried out, “When a man believes in me, he does not believe in me only, but in the one who sent me. When he looks at me, he sees the one who sent me. I have come into the world as a light, so that no one who believes in me should stay in darkness. ”As for the person who hears my words but does not keep them, I do not judge him.  For I did not come to judge the world, but to save it. There is a judge for the one who rejects me and does not accept my words; that very word which I spoke will condemn him at the last day. For I did not speak of my own accord, but the Father who sent me commanded me what to say and how to say it. I know that his command leads to eternal life. So whatever I say is just what the Father has told me to say.”  (NIV Bible) John 12: 44-49

And Again...

Jesus cried and said, He that believeth on me, believeth not on me, but on him [God] that sent me.And he that seeth me seeth him that sent me... For I have not spoken of myself; but the Father which sent me, he gave me a ommandment, what I should say, and what I should speak. And I know that his commandment is life everlasting: whatsoever I speak therefore, even as the Father said unto me, so I speak.(King James Bible, John) 12:49-50

And yet so many follow the footsteps down the path hewn by clergy. They continiously praise and pray in the name of Jesus; exalting and worshipping him as lord and godhead. Many church followers get carried away by it all, believing Jesus of Nazareth is none other than the Almighty Himself. How many times has the matra,"only in the name of Jesus can you be saved," been chanted from the pulpit, the choir and various street ministries? And yet, how seldom has the scripture been scrutinized independent of "guidance" from doctrinal direction or church fostered bias? When do we escape the confines of carefully selected passages edited to seemingly support a favored topic of study (in which the foregone conclusion must be in comfortable agreement with clergy and congregational status-quo)? When do we, as an educated literate public, quit relying on the church for answers to questions of theological consequence? Allegory and symbolism of Trinity, Salvation, Reborn in the Spirit, Dualism of Heaven and Hell, Creation, Love, Sacrifice, Life Eternal, and many others are seen as expressions of deep universal awarenesses. These "guideposts to "opening one's inner eye" are found within the meanings of scriptures the world over. Much as a pearl of great price must be ceaselessly searched for; so must the pearls of wisdom be searched, meditated upon and discovered within the heart and soul.

Of God or Man: "Seek and ye shall find." Explore "Issues of Emphasis". Examine realms of "outward and "inner" truth. Compare the "Bread of Life" with the doctrine of flesh.  Compare the Jesus birth stories as told by  Matthew & Luke. See http://church.onenessbecomesus.com

THIS RADIANT CENTURY

A time of change and reform, a transformation of metamorphosis into a new age of enlightenment, the dawning of a new age of maturity for all mankind.

The following was written around 1912. Reflect, as you read this, how much more discoveries, new social issues, tools of living and communication have continued to exponentially impact and fundamentally change our ever-evolving world.

In the estimation of historians this radiant century is equivalent to one hundred centuries of the past. If comparison be made with the sum total of all former human achievements it will be found that the discoveries, scientific advancement and material civilization of this present century have equaled, yea far exceeded the progress and outcome of one hundred former centuries.

The production of books and compilations of literature alone bear witness that the output of the human mind in this century has been greater and more enlightening than all the past centuries together. It is evident therefore that this century is of paramount importance.

Reflect upon the miracles of accomplishment which have already characterized it, the discoveries in every realm of human research, inventions, scientific knowledge, ethical reforms and regulations established for the welfare of humanity, mysteries of nature explored, invisible forces brought into visibility and subjection, a veritable wonder-world of new phenomena and conditions heretofore unknown to man now open to his uses and further investigation. The east and west can communicate instantly. A human being can soar in the skies or speed in submarine depths. The power of steam has linked the continents. Trains cross the deserts and pierce the barriers of mountains; ships find unerring pathways upon the trackless oceans.

Day by day discoveries are increasing. What a wonderful century this is! It is an age of universal reformation. Laws and statutes of governments civil and federal are in process of change and transformation. Sciences and arts are being molded anew. Thoughts are metamorphosed. The foundations of human society are changing and strengthening.

It is evident therefore that counterfeit and spurious religious teaching, antiquated forms of belief and ancestral imitations which are at variance with the foundation of divine reality must also pass away and be reformed. They must be abandoned and new conditions be recognized.

The morals of humanity must undergo change. New remedy and solution for human problems must be adopted. Human intellects themselves must change and be subject to the universal reformation.

Just as the thoughts and hypotheses of past ages are fruitless today, likewise dogmas and codes of human invention are obsolete and barren of product in religion. Nay, it is true that they are the cause of enmity and conducive to strife in the world of humanity; war and bloodshed proceed from them and the oneness of mankind finds no recognition in their observance.

Therefore it is our duty in this radiant century to investigate the essentials of divine religion, seek the realities underlying the oneness of the world of humanity and discover the source of fellowship and agreement which will unite mankind in the heavenly bond of love. This unity is the radiance of eternity, the divine spirituality, the effulgence of God and the bounty of the Kingdom.

We must investigate the divine source of these heavenly bestowals and adhere unto them steadfastly. For if we remain fettered and restricted by human inventions and dogmas, day by day the world of mankind will be degraded, day by day warfare and strife will increase and satanic forces converge toward the destruction of the human race.

Jesus:"I Shall Come Again" - Christ - Bahai 1844 The Second Coming

Gleanings From the Writings of Baháulláh

Release yourselves, O nightingales of God, from the thorns and brambles of wretchedness and misery, and wing your flight to the rose-garden of unfading splendor. O My friends that dwell upon the dust! Haste forth unto your celestial habitation. Announce unto yourselves the joyful tidings: He Who is the Best-Beloved is come! He hath crowned Himself with the glory of Gods Revelation, and hath unlocked to the face of men the doors of His ancient Paradise. Let all eyes rejoice, and let every ear be gladdened, for now is the time to gaze on His beauty, now is the fit time to hearken to His voice. Proclaim unto every longing lover: Behold, your Well-Beloved hath come among men! and to the messengers of the Monarch of love impart the tidings: Lo, the Adored One hath appeared arrayed in the fullness of His glory! O lovers of His beauty! Turn the anguish of your separation from Him into the joy of an everlasting reunion, and let the sweetness of His presence dissolve the bitterness of your remoteness from His court.
Behold how the manifold grace of God, which is being showered from the clouds of Divine glory, hath, in this day, encompassed the world. For whereas in days past every lover besought and searched after his Beloved, it is the Beloved Himself Who now is calling His lovers and is inviting them to attain His presence. Take heed lest ye forfeit so precious a favor; beware lest ye belittle so remarkable a token of His grace. Abandon not the incorruptible benefits, and be not content with that which perisheth. Lift up the veil that obscureth your vision, and dispel the darkness with which it is enveloped, that ye may gaze on the naked beauty of the Beloveds face, may behold that which no eye hath beheld, and hear that which no ear hath heard.

Hear Me, ye mortal birds! In the Rose Garden of changeless splendor a Flower hath begun to bloom, compared to which every other flower is but a thorn, and before the brightness of Whose glory the very essence of beauty must pale and wither. Arise, therefore, and, with the whole enthusiasm of your hearts, with all the eagerness of your souls, the full fervor of your will, and the concentrated efforts of your entire being, strive to attain the paradise of His presence, and endeavor to inhale the fragrance of the incorruptible Flower, to breathe the sweet savors of holiness, and to obtain a portion of this perfume of celestial glory. Whoso followeth this counsel will break his chains asunder, will taste the abandonment of enraptured love, will attain unto his hearts desire, and will surrender his soul into the hands of his Beloved. Bursting through his cage, he will, even as the bird of the spirit, wing his flight to his holy and everlasting nest. .
Night hath succeeded day, and day hath succeeded night, and the hours and moments of your lives have come and gone, and yet none of you hath, for one instant, consented to detach himself from that which perisheth. Bestir yourselves, that the brief moments that are still yours may not be dissipated and lost. Even as the swiftness of lightning your days shall pass, and your bodies shall be laid to rest beneath a canopy of dust. What can ye then achieve? How can ye atone for your past failure?
The everlasting Candle shineth in its naked glory. Behold how it hath consumed every mortal veil. O ye moth-like lovers of His light! Brave every danger, and consecrate your souls to its consuming flame. O ye that thirst after Him! Strip yourselves of every earthly affection, and hasten to embrace your Beloved. With a zest that none can equal make haste to attain unto Him.
Bahá'u'lláh: The Promise of All Ages

Bahá'u'lláh's Announcement to Humankind
The Revelation which, from time immemorial, hath been acclaimed as the
Purpose and Promise of all the Prophets of God, and the
most cherished Desire of His Messengers,
hath now, by virtue of the pervasive Will of the Almighty and at His irresistible bidding,
been revealed unto men.
The advent of such a Revelation hath been heralded in all the sacred Scriptures.
Behold how, notwithstanding such an announcement,
mankind hath strayed from its path and
shut out itself from its glory.

The Flower, thus far hidden from the sight of men, is unveiled to your eyes.
In the open radiance of His glory He standeth before you.
His voice summoneth all the holy and sanctified beings to come and be united with Him.
Happy is he that turneth thereunto;
well is it with him that hath attained, and gazed on the light of so wondrous a countenance.

We all need to practice the virtues seen in the compassionate acceptance and caring shown forth in Cyndi's smile. Maybe then the brotherhood of Mankind will begin to bear fruit worthy of its creation.

Would it be that all people were more like her. Our world would surely be...

It is also a response to many orthodox Christians who so emphasize the sacrifice of Jesus as a required ransom payment to God for the sins of the world.
